Ex-Arizona football player, Higley High School coach accused of murder

DaVonte' Neal, according to officials, was arrested in connection with a shooting that happened in 2017 in Phoenix.

Neal played football at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, where he became a four-star athlete before attending Notre Dame. Neal would transfer to the University of Arizona. Neal would eventually work as an assistant coach at Higley High School in Gilbert before being hired on at Idaho State University.
